First time on the pads?
Good, that’s most people. No experience needed. The beginner classes are built for adults and teens who have never hit a pad in their life, and nobody is grading your form on day one.

One gym, both games
Plenty of members mix striking with jiu-jitsu: grappling for the ground, kickboxing for the feet. It is all one membership. Jiu-jitsu handles the ground; striking handles the feet, the distance, the timing. Plenty of gyms in the area only teach one of the two. Most weeknights, and Saturday, the striking class starts right as the jiu-jitsu blocks let out, so a member trains both without a second trip to the gym.
